Captain Todd Malicoat has spent his life on the water, and he brings decades of hands-on experience to every trip he runs out of Key West. A licensed USCG OUPV captain, Todd knows these flats, channels, and backcountry waters like they’re part of his own backyard—because they are. From reading the tides to spotting fish in skinny water, his local insight isn’t something you can teach in a textbook. It’s earned over years of sunrises, tight lines, and understanding the rhythms of the Florida Keys.
What sets Captain Todd apart isn’t just his skill with a rod or his ability to find the bite—though those are undeniable. It’s the way he runs his trips: relaxed, honest, and always in tune with his guests. He’s guided everyone from first-timers to seasoned anglers, and he knows how to adapt the day to meet your pace, skill level, and goals. You’ll find him just as excited about your catch as you are, whether it’s your first fish ever or your biggest tarpon to date.
Specializing in shark and tarpon fishing, Captain Todd brings a sharp focus and genuine passion to every charter. He’s spent years honing techniques specific to these powerful game fish, and he’ll talk you through the tides, bait, and behavior of each species as the trip unfolds. His approach is rooted in both patience and precision—a rare combination that creates a confident, enjoyable fishing experience from start to finish.
